Concerts and galleries

The Imperial Art gallery is launching the Concerts en galerie, an original initiative which aims to support young musicians by opening up the salons of the gallery to them to come and perform their repertoire in the context of concerts open to all and followed by a time of exchanges with the public.

Each year, Tarik Bougherira, president and founder of the gallery, undertakes to program a series of concerts in his gallery with the same artist who is free to invite other musicians from his circle in order to offer varied programs that resonate with the works exhibited in the gallery.

These concerts, offered by Imperial Art, with free admission by reservation, testify to a desire for patronage with artists who are embarking on a professional career and who find in the setting of a 19th century private mansion the spirit of Belle Epoque salons where music is shared in an intimate and lively way.

The year 2022 is an opportunity for Imperial Art to support pianist Justyna Chmielowiec, who received the first prize from the Academy of Music in Lodz in 2007 and who decided to continue her musical education in Paris, attending the Higher School of Music Alfred Cortot or the Schola Cantorum with Eugène Indjic. She performs as a soloist in various European countries.

Her meeting with the singer Christophe marks a turning point in her career where she plays in the first part of his "Intimate" tour (2013) in a Chopin-Liszt program. In September 2021, she participated and played in the evening tribute to singer Christophe at the Philharmonie de Paris. She is the winner of the Zlota Sowa Polonii 2022 Prize in Vienna.

For the second concert of the Concerts en galerie, Justyna Chmielowiec, pianist, invites Lise Martel, violinist, to perform a few works as a duo.
