Tarik Bougherira, founder


Former high-level athlete, former member of the French Greco-Roman wrestling team, and after a course in management school, Tarik Bougherira will enter the Art market in 2009, being in charge of management of one of the most prestigious collections around Napoleon. Aware that the market of the First Empire lacked a privileged player with collectors and institutions, he created his first gallery in 2016, thus making it possible to devote a place entirely dedicated to this prosperous period of the Napoleonic era, and where find both art enthusiasts and history researchers.



Quentin Bonnefoy, specialist


Familiar with the Art market since his childhood, Quentin Bonnefoy developed a passion for History very early on; it was at the age of ten that he made his first acquisition, which put him in direct contact with the work and made him aware of the choices inherent in any collection.

After five years of experience in mass distribution, in parallel with his studies of Art History at the Sorbonne, he decided to combine his two passions, commerce and art, to embark on the expertise and support collectors in enriching their heritage. His great specialty is ancient painting with a predilection for the period of French romanticism and the painter Géricault.


Emmanuelle Le Bail, cultural and scientific director


Graduate in History and Art History (Sorbonne University, Institute of Art and Archeology and École du Louvre), Principal Curator on availability, Deputy Mayor for Culture in the city of Cabourg, Chevalier des Arts and Letters, Emmanuelle Le Bail was director of the Musée des Avelines, Saint-Cloud art and history museum for nearly 15 years before joining the Imperial Art gallery in April 2022.

Cultural and scientific director of the gallery, she performs the functions of exhibition curator and coordinator of scientific research and publications. Jérôme Cortade, in charge of historical research


A graduate in history with a specialization in palaeography, Jérôme Cortade worked for more than ten years as an expert in autographs and manuscripts with several auction houses including Tajan & Aguttes. In 2015, the Commercial Court of Paris called on his expertise in the Aristophil case, to carry out an inventory and an initial evaluation of the collections of manuscripts and ancient books. After a stint at the library of the National Assembly, he joined Impérial Art Paris to deal mainly with research in the archives and the drafting of catalogs for the gallery.



Bochra Bouslama, historical research and organization of exhibitions


Always passionate about history, it was after obtaining a Master's degree in Business Law that, determined to pursue a childhood dream, Bochra put her career as a lawyer aside and embarked on a Bachelor's degree in History. of art at the Sorbonne University. During a visit organized as part of her Master II Expertise and art market, she discovered the Imperial Art Gallery which regularly opens its doors to students from the Sorbonne. Under the spell of the work philosophy, the team and the place, she joined Imperial art in January 2022 as responsible for historical research and the organization of exhibitions.
